If you're thinking about raising a family, whether through biological children, adoption, fostering, surrogacy, or other means, whether you're single or in a relationship, we hope you'll join us for this special series. We will be covering questions and Jewish sources that touch on some of the following questions: How do I proactively prepare myself (or my partner and I) for what could be a challenging family building journey? What goes into a bris, or a Jewish baby naming ceremony? How do I start to think through things like saving for Jewish private school, or prioritizing public school and find Jewish community and education elsewhere for my child? What may it look like for me to create a Jewish family as someone who is single, queer, in an interfaith relationship, or any other identity? Please let us know if you cannot attend all three sessions for this cohort experience.

Wednesday, November 6 - Before: What are things to consider before building my family? What can I do to prepare?

Wednesday, November 13 - During: What are some challenges that may come my way when trying to build a family? What supports are there for me as a LGBTQ+ person?

Wednesday, November 20 - After: What are meaningful and accessible ways to welcome future children into the Jewish community?

We're grateful that this series in partnership with Honeymoon Israel and the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan. Please contact Rabbi Danny ([email protected]) with questions. Address given upon registration.
